Protection in Casinos

Okay this as a few hundred years ago but not really. I was dealing a 10 card game called Panguigue or Pan as it is known, at The Bycicle Club in Los Angeles. the game is played with 10 cards similar to rummy. Anyway, I was dealing the game and was called to the office on my break. George Hardy, the owner at the time, said he had to let me go. Because I was recommended by the G.M. John Sutton , he said he would hold off until John came back from vacation. He wanted to show me a tape of how I was involved in a cheating scam. I told him if anything happened in the game I was dealing I must have turned my head to call for chips or service. He showed me the tape and when I turned my head a player switched up a whole hand (10 cards). I didn't lose my job and the very next day the tables were turned around so that the dealer was not facing the wall. The funny part about the cheater in the game was that he was kicked out for a short time. Two months later he was in my game again. I guess he promised to be good!
